Evolution is nothing without an origin. At Wilier Triestina we have an origin unlike any other brand off of which to build. The Cento1SR builds off of knowledge garnered through designing the amazing power transfer of the Zero.7, and the aerodynamic efficiencies of our time trial bikes, while still upholding many aspects of the legendary Cento1 platform.

The 60 Ton carbon frame features elegant internal cable routing, an FSA BB386EVO bottom bracket, and a tapered head tube for incredible handling and stability on even the most extreme descents. Using Kamm tail truncated airfoil technology, Wilier Triestina created a bicycle that exceeds expectations of all-around performance.

Wilier pioneered the oversize bottom bracket in the original Cento1 model. The BB386EVO is the next evolution in that design concept, putting Wilier and its collaborator, FSA, on the front lines of cycling technology and design innovation. In order to give you the most efficient power transfer, we designed a bottom bracket that can perfectly integrate an ultra-stiff crank system with an ultra-stiff frame. We pushed the limits beyond what traditional BB30 frames can offer. Working alongside FSA we developed BB386EVO, which pairs a carbon crank with a stout 30mm spindle with a wider 86.5mm--compared to BB30's 68mm--bottom bracket area. Because of this, Wilier's BB386EVO frames are substantially stiffer than an ordinary BB30 frame. This was put to independent testing at the Zedler Institute in Germany. They found that the Cento1SR frame to have the stiffest bottom bracket of any frame they have ever tested.

BB386EVO is compatible with most traditional standards on the market. Every frameset comes with adapters to allow installation of Campagnolo, Shimano, and SRAM cranks without the need for outboard bearings, external cups or bottom bracket. FSA bottom bracket must be purchased separately.






Wilier bikes are known the whole world over for their impeccable handling. We believe the feel of the bike on the road gives it its soul. We continually search for ways to improve our bikes feel and comfort without compromising performance--which led to some of the Cento1SR's most significant enhancements.

Our designers completely rethought the intersection between the top tube, head tube, and down tube while designing the Cento1SR. The radical looking top tube turns downward just before it meets the head tube, and the down tube flares to meet both the head tube and integrated fork. This change create a virtual increase in the length of the head tube, resulting in a 14% increase in torsional rigidity. A traditional junction is modeled after the point of a triangle, but Wilier drew inspiration from a square, to make a new angle and positioning that increases the stiffness and stability of the front end.

The Integrated Fork design creates an aerodynamic profile that reduces drag. Inspired by research during the development of our super-bike the TwinBlade, the Cento1SR's fork legs are designed for increased stability and aerodynamics. The proven Kamm truncated tail concept gives the Cento1 SR the perfect balance of lightweight, aerodynamics, and handling.




Wilier's Integrated Adjuster Plate has one simple purpose: A clean, efficient, and versatile port for internal cable routing. The IAP system tucks the cable entry away from the leading edge of the down tube, for maximized aerodynamic efficiency without sacrificing functionality or ease of use. Interchangeable based on the rider's choice of group set, the IAP offers clean and easy compatibility to any mechanical or electric systems. Together with the integrated cable guide under the bottom bracket, the IAP ensures noise and friction-free cable routing and shifting. Integrated barrel adjusters make for easy adjustments all while maintaining a clean aesthetic.





Cable routing directed internally within the frame has been an important part of our research and development efforts. Smooth and reliable operation of the drivetrain and braking systems is an imperative part of determining optimal cable routing; in fact, it is the number one priority. This led us to develop a feature exclusive to the Cento1 SR: 3D Integrated Cable Routing Plate (3D ICRP). It is a cable guide tucked flushly in the frame beneath the bottom bracket that is designed with varied routing for each of the two cables. Unlike conventional cable guides, the Cento1 SR’s 3D ICRP is designed to promote differentiated and specific routing for optimal functionality of each of the derailleurs. The resulting profiling of the 3D ICRP integrated cable guide ensures both a sure feel at the front derailleur as well as rear derailleur performance. An essential aspect of optimal internal routing is the cable’s frictionless and contact-free movement within each of the frame tubes through which it passes. Additionally, preserving the optimal arc of rear derailleur cable and housing between the point of exit from the frame at the drive-side chainstay into the rear derailleur itself ensures smooth and “crisp” shifting across the entire cogset. As with the complementary IAP component, the frame is sculpted at the bottom bracket to receive seamlessly the 3D ICRP cable guide for Shimano Di2, Campagnolo EPS or mechanical systems. Its minimalist and integrated characteristics assimilate the guide within the frame’s profiling to further enhance aerodynamics over conventional cable guide designs.

Since introducing our first integrated seatmast design as a feature of our original Cento1 model, we have never strayed from our conviction that it plays a key role in the ideal balance between structural performance, lightweight and comfort.
The Cento1 SR integrated seatmast takes the concept a step further with its Kamm truncated tail design for optimal aerodynamics.




Our asymmetric chainstay design for the Cento1SR is the next evolution of the design concept we originally introduced in the legendary first generation Cento1. The drive side chainstay is dramatically different than the non-drive side because the forces on the two sides are dramatically different. The drive side stay's shape and lower positioning counteract chain torque, while the non-drive stay is shaped to balance those same forces from the opposite side. The lower drive-side stay also reduces typical "chain-slap" when your ride gets rough.

While our chainstays are designed with maximum stiffness and power-transfer in mind, our minimalist and vertically compliant seatstays were crafted to compliment them, dampening vibrations while simultaneously ensuring torsional and lateral stiffness for optimal power transfer.



Wilier looks to every detail on our bikes to optimize performance and functionality, and our 3D Derailleur Hanger is evidence of this. Cento1SR derailleur hangers are no longer merely there to facilitate the installation of the rear derailleur. They have assumed a third dimension of functionality, seamlessly integrating different systems while simultaneously serving as cable stops.

For our new 3D Hangers, we dramatically increased stiffness to ensure perfect shifting and improved durability.

Easily interchangeable, 3D Hangers specifically integrate to either electronic or mechanical drivetrains. For a traditional mechanical group, the hanger features a clean integrated cable stop, making the transition from internal cable routing absolutely seamless. The cable stop is positioned closer to the derailleur itself. This enables a shorter length of housing from frame to derailleur, while still allowing for optimal cable arc-maximizing rear derailleur smoothness and consistency. As with the Cento1 SR’s internal cable routing through the down tube, this cable stop keeps the rear derailleur shift cable well-tensioned and centered within the stay for a silent and frictionless shift action. For electronic groups, the design is minimal, allowing the electric wiring to pass through in the cleanest way possible. The internal electric routing is optimized as well, with the wiring's point of exit positioned well above the dropout for quick and unencumbered wheel changes.
