The Mortirolo is Wilier's new entry level carbon bike. Formerly the ever popular aluminum/carbon frame which had evolved from the Alpe de Huez aluminum frame of Marco Pantani in 1997, the new carbon Mortirolo is already our top seller for 2007. The Mortirolo delivers a light frame weight and beautiful finishing. Like the Izoard, the Mortirolo uses T40, T30, and T24 fibers for a blend of high modulus and intermediate modulus fibers. The Mortirolo is only 70g heavier than the Izoard due to more intermediate modulus fibers. This also makes the frame a little less stiff and more comfortable for long rides.
The Mortirolo is available in stores in a variety of group options, including Shimano 105 and Campagnolo Centaur.
